Joining you at Spiritual Sundays.
Verse and photo really hit home for me. My favorite place to be is by the water. When young, much younger, I saved my money, begged a 3 month reprieve from my job, and took off for St. Simon's Island. I always thought that I would live at the beach or at least nearby, but that has not materialized. My cousin is about to retire from her job and she is looking for a small, quaint town on the southern coast. When she can she takes off and visits towns in North and South Carolina trying to find the right one. I wish her luck, maybe I can at least I can visit her.ReplyDelete
My husband graduated from Ohio State - he lived in Parma. Most of his family is still in that general area. One winter while we were visiting his parents he took me out to Lake Erie (he knew how I liked the water); he wanted to show me some pretty spots along the lake.
We stood on a rocky wall leaning into the strong, frigid wind so we could stand up. I think I turned into an icicle in short time but it took forever to get a normal feeling back in my fingers and toes. He had found the water that I could not winter on.
