Pink Sturday!

   Happy PINK Saturday everyone!
My post today will be very short as I worked late and I'm exhausted!
If you've followed my blog for any length of time you know I LOVE vintage images especially those with children and animals. Over the Summer I purchased a sweet little vintage childrens book and these are a few of the images from this book.
I love her sweet little PINK purse and how the little dog is following behind with her shoe.

This is the little poem at the bottom of the page.

And I love the PINK wallpaper and the little rug in this picture. Did you notice the little boy is wearing Mary Janes?

This is the poem under this picture. It's a little torn and tattered but still cute.

Please visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound, our host for PINK Saturday. Have a wonderful weekend! xxoo Nan

  6. I love torn and tattered. Those are sooooo cute! The graphics in old children's books are amazing. Nan, I think an Americana tree is a great idea. You will have to show us yours soon. I had a friend who had an Americana tree and she even had a vintage drum that the tree sat on draped in an old american flag. She had old cracker jack boxes tied on it....just all kinds of fun stuff. Hope you can get some rest this weekend. xo Lynn

  14. The Mary Jane's the boy is wearing were a standard shoe for all children back in the 50's and 60's. I used to wear a pair of red ones all the time.

    1. I used to wear my sisters shoes, sandals and socks whenever I could. I loved being a "sissy boy" in front of all the other kids. Some kids were cruel because they called me a "faggot"... but actually I knew deep down that I was different. When I was about 11 years old I started to wear my sisters pantyhose and sandals in front of all the other kids.
